SCREEN LEFT: MID-SHOT JUBILEE LINE PLATFORM SLIDING DOORS.

VOICE OVER

I can be in the pitch. That gently cloying thick veil of air. Something to comfort me. But I know a time when this glow will be gone. When I'll need to take care. When I might need that fire to push the veil away. On the new moon I will look out from my hearth and see us.

CANARY WHARF, JUBILEE LINE STATION, PLATFORM LEVEL - EVENING

(HAL DAVID, TERRA GULGEE)

SCREEN RIGHT: EXTREME CLOSE UP OF HAL'S EYES.

SCREEN CENTRE: MID-SHOT JUBILEE LINE PLATFORM SLIDING DOORS.

SCREEN LEFT: EXTREME CLOSE UP OF TERRA'S EYES.

Ensure that exposure is correct to allow for the superimposition of images of the architectural context to reflect on the surface of their eyes.

(gaze directly into camera)

This can only be for me.

HAL DAVID

(eyes looking forward)

What?

TERRA GULGEE

(eyes looking down)

This light, this flicker, this thing in, on, my face, my eyes, my head, through my head.

HAL DAVID

(eyes move, followed by head, to look at Terra's eyes)

Sorry?

TERRA GULGEE

(eyes looking upward)

Can you feel it, see it, sense it?

HAL DAVID

(still looking at Terra)

No really, please don't start.

TERRA GULGEE

(gaze moving and flittering from place to place)

Look there by the base of the escalator, and there along the soffit by those whale ribbed concrete shapes that make vault, on the columns, by the doors, along the side of the moving steps, in the doors, on that glass roof, by the signs, in the signs, in the floor, in that man's hand, in their hands, by the bin, in the air, in the ground, moving, shining, failing, blinking, pulsing, that one's flickering.

HAL DAVID

(still looking at Terra)

So?

TERRA GULGEE

(slow gaze movement towards Hal)

What?

HAL DAVID

(still looking at Terra)

So?

TERRA GULGEE

(eyes move back to camera focus on mid distance)

What? I can even hear them humming now. Each one is humming, low high and all the way in between. It's not a dirge, not music, not noise, not made, not planned. Can you see the heat? It all seems to be part of it...
